Syringes come in a variety of types and sizes. Many families use syringes for feeding, venting, and giving medications. They can be reused at home by washing with soap and warm water. Note – do not put syringes in the dishwasher.
-
One feeding bag should be used every 24hrs. It is not recommended to rinse and reuse bags; however, if you have leftover formula, you can place the bag in the refrigerator between feeds.
-
Enteral Backpacks are backpacks made to fit a feeding pump with a hole in the back for the tube to come through. These enteral backpacks are an extremely helpful and convenient way to feed.

IV poles are used to place your feeding pump and feeding bag on.

Extension sets are made for G buttons. They are used to feed, administer liquids, and give medication. They attach to the button and connect to a feeding pump, syringe, or feeding bag. What Are Enteral Feeding Supplies?
Enteral feeding supplies are the tools, equipment, and formulas used to deliver nutrition through a feeding tube directly into the stomach or small intestine. They are prescribed when patients cannot eat by mouth safely or cannot meet their nutritional needs through food alone.
These supplies make daily life manageable and are tailored to the needs of:
Infants and children with medical complexity
Adults with chronic illnesses or disabilities
Patients recovering from surgery or illness
Individuals requiring long-term nutrition support
Common categories of enteral supplies include:
Feeding Tubes: G-tubes, J-tubes, and NG-tubes
Feeding Pumps: for controlled, continuous feeding
Enteral Nutrition Formulas: standard, pediatric, and specialty options
Accessories & Care Products: syringes, extension sets, connectors, and securement devices
At Sentido Health, we provide end-to-end enteral supply support, so families don’t have to navigate this journey alone.
Types of Enteral Feeding Supplies
Feeding Tubes
Feeding tubes vary based on where they are placed and the duration of use:
Gastrostomy Tubes (G-tubes): Inserted through the abdomen into the stomach. Ideal for long-term use.
Jejunostomy Tubes (J-tubes): Inserted into the small intestine for patients at risk of aspiration or reflux.
Nasogastric Tubes (NG-tubes): Inserted through the nose into the stomach. Often used short-term.
We work closely with providers to ensure families have the right size and type of tube, plus replacement options when needed.
Feeding Pumps
An enteral feeding pump is a device that delivers liquid nutrition through a feeding tube at a steady, prescribed rate, making it an essential part of enteral feeding supplies. At Sentido Health, we primarily provide the Infinity® Feeding Pump, a lightweight and portable option that can be used both at home and on the go.
Each pump is supplied with an IV pole and an enteral feeding backpack for added convenience. Our team also educates caregivers and patients on proper setup, use, cleaning, and troubleshooting so families feel confident managing their care.
Enteral Nutrition Formula
The right formula provides complete nutrition while supporting comfort and health. Sentido offers:
Standard adult formulas for general nutrition needs
Pediatric formulas designed for growth and development
Specialty formulas for patients with food allergies, gastrointestinal disorders, or metabolic needs
High-calorie or peptide-based formulas for patients with higher energy demands or absorption challenges
Accessories & Replacement Parts
Day-to-day care relies on small but essential products. Sentido provides:
Syringes for flushes and bolus feeds
Extension sets for flexibility and comfort
Y-site connectors, adaptors, and ENFit devices for compatibility and safety
Dressings, skin barriers, and securement devices to protect against irritation and infection
We help families track replacement schedules so supplies are always available when needed.
How to Choose the Right Enteral Feeding Supplies
If you’re wondering “What supplies are needed for enteral feeding?” — the answer depends on the type of tube, the patient’s needs, and the care plan developed with a provider.
Selecting enteral feeding supplies isn’t one-size-fits-all. It depends on:
Medical diagnosis and care plan
Feeding method (bolus, gravity, or pump)
Age and growth stage of the patient
Formula tolerance and allergies
Insurance coverage and out-of-pocket considerations
At Sentido Health, our clinical account managers collaborate with your care team to ensure the right products are delivered consistently and adjusted when patient needs change.
